In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK preparing for a speech at the Oxford Union.

The event was disrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters delayed speech I doubt I can catch the flight we are heading to the airport".

Epstein responded: "There. Is a gulf air that leaves at 9:50 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an excellent helper".

These messages were published on Wednesday together with over 20,000 pages from the records of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets managed to confirm his identity by cross-referencing the timeline, events, and locations referenced.

For instance, Epstein discusses chartering a plane from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the chat, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and delivered the speech at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as the president's key advisers in the run up to the presidential election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but resigned from the administration in 2017.

He has admitted he was making a documentary about Epstein before his death and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his show recently, he said: "We plan to release the series, the five-part series, in the coming year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed materials suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile occasionally seeming to act like a personal assistant.

A short time prior to the conversation in which Epstein seemed to booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r quite capable asst", to which Epstein replied "Therapies. Excluded".

Discussing a visit to "AD" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you are well looked after."

British Affairs Discussed in Exchanges

The released messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in 2018.

On the same day his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit issue this morning with Nigel, Johnson and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a reference to Theresa May, the struggling UK prime minister at the period, he added: "The guys are trying to proceed. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think staying as much as you can in the UK. Best-- so people get the commitment of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa may survive". Bannon answered: "I don't see how BUT the guys over here have no balls" and added "Boris ; Michael Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to take charge".

May was eventually toppled in May 2019 after withstanding two votes of lack of support in late 2018.

A representative for the political party informed media: "Farage has never been in a gathering with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting occurred.

The US House of Representatives will decide next week on whether the justice department should make public all its files related to its probe into Epstein, who died in prison in that year.

Interest in Epstein's associations with powerful figures was renewed this week after the release of over 20,000 pages from his estate.

A portion of those mentioned the former president, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The president was a friend of Epstein's for a long time, but says they fell out in the 2000s, a couple of years before Epstein was first arrested.
